Members of the club have been active both within the riding and beyond, volunteering in vulnerable ridings during the 2006 federal election as well as during the provincial bi-elections.

Members of the Lauier Young Liberals have had amazing opportunities in the past get involved in politics and meet various people who are successful in the field. This past year was a banner one for our club. We kicked off the year in September 2007 with a welcome back event at the campus pub. This was a great opportunity to welcome new students who wanted more information about on campus activities. In November various members attended the LPC(O) AGM in Huntsville. Our President and Vice President actually met Stephane Dion and had a chance to briefly speak with him about his party leadership role. Later in the year some of our members had the honor of attending an event with Justin Trudeau, son of the late Pierre Trudeau. These members were lucky enough to discuss his position in the Montréal riding of Papineau, his views on the environment, and his reasoning for getting involved in politics.

Our club has big plans for the 2008/2009 school year. We already have many ideas relating to fundraising, inter-club events, recruitment, and community involvement.
