Intro from new OYL Executive Director

For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting allow me to introduce myself, my name is Tiffany Gooch and I am the new Ontario Young Liberals Executive Director.  I am honoured to have been invited to assist in carrying out the OYL mandate and moving our organization to new heights under the direction of the Executive Board.

I recently completed a degree in Political Science from the University of Windsor where I served as President of the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance.  Before moving to Toronto, I was very active in the Windsor community as a member of my Liberal riding association, an intern in the constituency office of MPP Sandra Pupatello, a board member for several not-for-profit organizations, a volunteer for various election campaigns, and a singer at community events.  At the University of Windsor, I wrote for the student newspaper, served as President of the Debate Club, studied on exchange in the UK at the University of Leicester, and assisted the Liberal Club President Jonny Wypych in the role of Vice President External Affairs.

We have a challenging year ahead.  We have a responsibility to ourselves and future Ontario Young Liberals to shape this organization into the absolute best it can be.  Our membership is made up of some of the most brilliant young political minds, hardworking campaign organizers, and frankly put, the future leaders of this great party.

Our first order of business is to create a three year Strategic Plan in consultation with our past and present membership, leadership and partners.  As a result, these first few weeks have consisted of a whirlwind of meetings as we begin to take a broader look at what we do as an organization, what we want to do and how we can excel while getting there.

I look forward to getting to know you as we work together building a stronger OYL.
